Ce week end, l’Afrique a soufflé sur Corny sur Moselle…
En effet, nous avons accueilli pas loin de 180 personnes autour d’un repas camerounais animé par plusieurs groupes.
Le mélange des cultures a fait de cette soirée un moment authentique, réellement africain dans son ambiance et dans son menu tout en bénéficiant d’une organisation et d’une structure proche de nos habitudes.
Pour nous, c'était une grande première et c’est vraiment grâce à des partenariats inter associatifs à Corny et à la richesse apportée par ce melting pot culturel que nous avons pu mener ce projet aussi brillamment.
Les recettes générées par cette soirée seront, comme prévu, utilisées pour aider le Cameroun dans sa lutte contre la drépanocytose, maladie génétique touchant près de 12 % de la population camerounaise. Un film présentant la maladie a été diffusé en début de soirée permettant aux personnes présentes de comprendre l’importance de ce projet qui sera mené en partenariat avec l’association CODEVOP (Cameroun) représentée en France par Marie Michelle Hafner, co-organisatrice et surtout cuisinière pour cette soirée.
Une délégation camerounaise de Paris a fait le déplacement pour l’occasion, et a fait la surprise d’un don de 2000€ à l’attention de l’association CODEVOP.
Les convives ont été enchantés, la soirée a été une réussite, les recettes sont à la hauteur de nos espérances et permettront donc de mener le projet de campagne de dépistage et prévention à son terme.
Nous remercions la Municipalité de Corny sur Moselle, la Communauté de Commune du Val de Moselle, et la région Lorraine qui encourage également les initiatives de ce type. Nous remercions également tous les bénévoles, le groupe de djembé et les danseuses venus gracieusement animer la soirée.
Enfin, nous remercions toutes les personnes qui ont soutenu notre action en participant à cette soirée !
